And we had a fantastic turn out; 26 ladies from the ward.
Can you believe that? They were all so kind to come and support Lexi at this important time in her life. And we had good food, lot's of laughs and she got some wonderful gifts.
One of the highlights of the party?
The garbage stole the show.
That is a $10 garbage can from Walmart - and yet there were so many women there that couldn't manage to figure out how it worked. There were some who tried to step on a non-existent foot pedal to open it - others, when trying to lift the very simple lid, ended up tossing the lid on the floor - it was crazy.
We are just very simple folk people, nothing fancy - very very simple. I even had guests taking their shoes off - NOT AT MY HOUSE!!!! Keep your shoes on ladies!!
But it was a nice event - and I was drained afterwards.
So very grateful for the good people in our ward.
Just over two weeks now until Batman is due to arrive -
