Stephen Driggs

Steve, on the far right, with his three sons.

Steve and Sheila just last week.

Steve, just taken yesterday.
This is my brother in law, Steve, married to my oldest sister Sheila.
Within a 3-4 month period, he has gone from a full time working dentist, strong, healthy, competitive, fun, and vibrant man, father, husband and grandpa, to the following pictures of a man now diagnosed with cancer.
How does this happen?
And so fast?
Sheila mentioned some of the beginning struggles about 4 months ago - mostly to my mom, who would give us information as Sheila provided it.  But it has progressed so quickly - the symptoms have been many and severe - itching, pain, not sleeping, not eating, confusion, forgetfulness, pain and more pain, losing 40 pounds, etc etc...Finally, at the beginning of this week, his family finally insisted Sheila take him to the hospital, where, the very next morning, they already had him diagnosed with stage 3-4 cancer.  Today, 4 days later, they are hoping for the origin of the cancer, the exact cancer it is and how they can proceed to treat if, if it can be treated.
Our prayers are fervent and continuous for Steve and Sheila and their family.  They have all gathered and continue to give us daily updates on the doctors findings and Steve's situation.  Today, we hope the news will be good.
