Looking Good Kathryn!!

She's down 11 pounds and cleans up pretty nicely on a beautiful Sunday.
So proud of her hard work and dedication in looking the best she can.
I think she's beautiful...love the skirt (I bought it for her).
Branching out in a new style.
Hair extensions are new...(and according to her, removable). She's trying some new things...and I like the overall look.
I give her my stamp of approval as have MANY others.
Looking classy Kathryn!

In House Circus Act

Not only are they fun to have around, but they're cheap entertainment too!!! Who knew they could juggle???
I'm thinking Jordan could earn some easy money on the side when he needs to...sooner than later please.

Sean Had a Birthday, Shout HOORAY!!!!

I love Sean. You would never know he's ONLY my nephew. I call him my 'other son'.
Yesterday was his 26th birthday and I wanted to make it special for him. So we had them over to dinner....steak, shrimp wrapped in bacon, potato salad, hot artichoke dip with Italian bread and a Mormon 'mixed cocktail'. Becky brought the wonderful birthday cake...frozen Ice Cream Snickers cake.
Aside from the burnt steak, over barbecued shrimp and too many onions in the potato salad, the dinner was wonderful. Oh well....a slight damper...(more than slight for me...I hate burned steak)...but we still all had a good time.
I love you Sean. Hairy face and all...(really, I DO love the beard).

It Was Inevitable...

And so it begins.
It was inevitable that Del would sooner or later turn his grandson into a cowboy.
This is just how it started with Jordan too...a simple little horsey ride when he was a toddler turned Jordan into the cowboy he was and is today.
And Del is hoping the same thing will happen with Preston.
It's documented...Prestons first horseback ride with Papa.
I doubt he'll ever remember it, but Papa sure will. It was the highlight of his day.
I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing the 'boots and hat' in the near future.
The training has begun.
I'm thinking a lasso and spurs will be somewhere at his 2 yr old birthday party.
Hopefully they will be on Papa and not Preston yet.

He Likes Chick Flicks!!!

I find it hilarious that not only does Preston love watching movies, but he LOVES chick flicks...especially musicals...Disney movies to be more specific...and Mulan and Tangled to be exact. He can actually sit through the entire movie as long as he has popcorn, water and his blankie.
Adorable!!!

Explain it to God

It's pretty much a 'no brainer' that the information forthcoming is NOT going to be good when the conversation starts with...'Mom, you love me unconditionally, right?'
We all have to make choices in life.
We make those choices based on the information and knowledge that we have at that specific time in our decision making process.
We try to make right choices.
We try to please others.
We try to please ourselves.
But in the scheme of life and at the end of the day, we are only accountable to one person.
We try to please God.
So the question then becomes....What does GOD want me to do?
Of course, depending on one's faith and belief in God, the answer to that question will vary.
Things change...
People change....
Feelings change....
But God does NOT change.
He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
His law NEVER changes, even with our individual interpretation of HIS law.
And we WILL have to explain it to Him.
There are some who then try to eliminate God so as not to have to be accountable to anyone for their actions.
How convenient.
But that won't change what is.
So my answer to the original question of 'do I love you unconditionally?' The answer is yes. And so does God. But you WILL have to explain it to Him. And then He will kindly remind you that you KNEW the law, chose to disregard it, made YOUR choices and will now suffer HIS consequences.
It is what it is.
I can't explain it any better than He already has.
He being...God.
It IS Him we are trying to please?
Right?

Simple Things Make Her Happy

Lacey doesn't ask for much...
Dog food, water, a daily walk and an occasional pat on the back from one of us here in the house.
And she gives SOOOO much back in return.
Not a day goes by that she doesn't run to greet each of us at the door when we come home.
She makes us laugh...
she doesn't get into trouble and she's a trusted companion.
So in return???
A ham bone from dinner the other night.
Oh my....
HOURS of enjoyment from such a simple thing as a ham bone.
We love Lacey.
