Annual Christmas Party 2011

I'm trying to grow my hair out- curled it..Kathryn
says it looks like from the 70's. I guess i need a new style.
We start off in the kitchen with all the yummy food.
Roger Davis, Jonathan Roberts and Eric Vogelsberg.
Kim Parker and my BYU roommate Bev J Davis Roberts.
The Roberts and the Davis'.
Yes, they are texting each other..Betsy and Debbie.
They ALWAYS end up in the kitchen talking BYU sports.
Me and Mel....
The Chatterton's and The Lott's.
Matt and Dana Hicken...our home teacher for years.
Mike Garcia got the 'prize' of the night.
Nate Ellison with his cactus tree.
Doug won the 'manly' gift of the night...with chest hair included.
Susan and Bob Robb seeing things in a different light.
yucky gift...I'll never speak to him again if he wears it.
Now THERE we go....BYU blue, through and through.
All the girls....what a group...
The whole group...minus two or three couples that couldn't make it.

It was December of 2002 that we moved here to Texas. That was the year we started this annual Christmas Party at the Vogelsberg home. My BYU roommate Bev was a friend of Debbie's and so they included us in the party and we've been invited every year since. The original group included 8 couples. Each year, we have added one or two more couples until about two years ago, we stabilized to what we are now.
And what a group we are....
This year was over the top though. The gifts were the most humorous of all. There has always been one gift that has been embellished upon year after year, but it was officially retired this year and one of the gifts from this year will become the embellishing gift. It's always the best to find out who brings what.
And the food??? Wow..we are the best of the best cooks. We have such good food to gorge ourselves on and usually we all go home completely over stuffed, exhausted from belly laughing and with headaches from laughing that would compete with the best of a hangover!!!! All without an ounce of alcohol or anything inappropriate. It makes for one of the funnest nights of the year and a lot of great memories.
Good people, good food, good laughs and good memories.
Makes for some Happy Holidays.
